T.C. Pruitt is a member of the international Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, has a B.A. in English Literature from Rice University, and is an alumna of PitchWars and Faber Academy in London.
Her Young Adult novel, The Skeleton and The Bard, was longlisted for the 2016 Mslexia Children's Novel Award.
Her Middle Grade novel, Evie Zimmer, Robot Killer, was chosen from more than 2600 submissions to be mentored in PitchWars. The story is set in a speculative world where Walt Disney's experimental prototype community of tomorrow (E.P.C.O.T.) was actually built. When Evie's dad loses his job to robots, she sets out to destroy them using coding and high-tech sabotage. But are robots really the enemy?
